Do I need a video file, or can I upload audio only?+
Audio only is fine — MP3, WAV, M4A, and other common formats all work. No video is required to get a transcript.
How long can the audio file be?+
There's no hard length limit, but very long files (multi-hour podcasts, for example) may run into your browser's memory limits. If that happens, you'll see a clear message suggesting a shorter file.
Can I turn the transcript into a captioned video later?+
Yes — the same word-level timestamps can drive burned-in captions on a video export whenever you're ready, using any of the caption styles.
Is the audio kept after the transcript is generated?+
