Should I use SRT or VTT?+
SRT is the safer default — it's accepted almost everywhere, including YouTube and most video editors. VTT is worth using specifically when a platform or web video player asks for WebVTT by name.
Can I get subtitle files and burned-in captions from the same upload?+
Yes. Styling captions into the video and exporting SRT/VTT files aren't exclusive — every project can export both from the same transcript.
Do the subtitle files include word-level timing or just per-line?+
SRT and VTT are line-based formats by design, so the exported files use per-line timing. The word-level timestamps are used internally to make sure each line's start and end time are accurate.
Can I edit the subtitle text before exporting?+
